The Londons Harlequins beat Toulouse in France last Sunday.
Excellent Irish referee, with a yellow card after three London faults in the rucks in the Toulouse 22m, and a red card to a London substitute on the bench... who took the ball coming towads him, with a couple of minutes left to be played... the referee estimated that he was acting as a 16th player, even if off the field, and that he had showed unsportsman conduct...!
As for Toulouse, they have to rebuild... two things:
- their field. After each scruml the field looked like a golf green after the wild pigs have trampled it during the night...!
- their full back Medard showed on three occasions that he was and still is a centre really, even if he was and is now used as a full back. On both London tries, he was not where he should have been. and he gave up a penalty in the second half. On the other hand he did help a lot the attack. But the first thing you expect from a full back is... to defend, as he is the last man.
