One of the best rugby games at the world cup to-date, with Ireland-Australia, Wales-Samoa,...
If you did not see it, borrow a DVD and watch it!
Samoa was simply heroic in attack and defense. But... they dropped a few too many balls, in tackles or handling errors, they had against them one of the best defense of the tournament, and... just when it seemed they had a chance to come back within one point (they had already missed the goal line by a couple of inches minutes before), their full back 15 hung in too long to the shorts of a South African player without the ball, and after the SA player punched his hands many times to make him let go, while looking at the ref, as the SA player was going away, the Samoa full back pushed his hand right into his face with a stiff arm... red card, and Samoa played 14 against 15 at the worst time. Before you ask... a yellow card would have had the same effect since there was only 5 minutes left to play...
When reviewing the tape, SA will see what they did well in defense, and what they need to improve like against the runs of the centers and wings...
So get ready for most probably NZ - Scotland or Argentina, England France, SA - Australia and Ireland Wales. I still think a final between New Zealand and South Africa seems most probable, with the outcome depending possibly of the kickers. And of the referree... hopefully not...
